Do you provide meals and snacks?
We provide snacks for both morning and afternoon classes. If a student attends a full day, parents are responsible for sending a packed lunch for their child each day. We accommodate allergies and allow parents to bring their child’s own snack if necessary.
What is expected as a parent participant?
At Stepping Stones Preschool, we encourage active parent involvement to enhance the daily operations and educational experience of our children. You have the opportunity to contribute in various areas such as the kitchen, playground, or classroom. Here’s what is expected from parent participants:
Classroom Assistance
Assist with Classroom Activities: Support teachers in organizing and facilitating educational activities.
Prepare and Clean-Up: Help prepare materials and clean up after activities to maintain a tidy learning environment.
Support Children: Assist children during learning sessions, playtime, and transitions as guided by teachers.
Follow Teacher's Instructions: Adhere to classroom management strategies outlined by teachers to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Note: Parents will not handle discipline; guidance will be provided by teachers regarding classroom expectations.
Playground Assistance (CPR Certification Required)
Supervise Outdoor Play: Ensure children's safety during outdoor activities and promote inclusive play.
Organize Games: Engage children in games and physical activities that encourage gross motor skill development.
Kitchen Assistance (Food Handler’s Card Required)
